4 Reasons to Be Excited About Duplin County’s Blue, Brew & ‘Que Festival

Things are warming up as Spring is just around the corner!  Duplin County’s Spring festival season kicks off with the Blue, Brew & ‘Que on Saturday, March 30 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Duplin County Events Center in Kenansville.  Here are four reasons to GET EXCITED!

#1.  SIX BANDS TAKING THE STAGE

It’s the love of bluegrass music that inspires the musicians.  They put their heart and soul into it.  At Blue, Brew & ‘Que, we will have 6 groups with chart-topping albums that appeal to all age groups; children, teenagers, young and middle-aged adults as well as senior adults.  As Doyle Lawson, of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, says, “When you’re an artist, you bare your soul to the world…it’s a big thing when you put your emotions on the line like that.”

#2.  SIX NORTH CAROLINA MICROBREWERIES

Most folks know Duplin County as “coastal wine country” in North Carolina.  We are excited to have two of our local wineries, The Country Squire and Duplin Winery join us.  And we are thrilled to have several North Carolina microbreweries, bringing their craft brews for tastings!  Check out the Blue, Brew & ‘Que website for a complete list.

#3.  20 COOK TEAMS SERVING #NCBBQ

Imagine 20 cook teams all competing in a whole hog barbeque cook-off!  It’s going to be a day of the best-of-the-best in Duplin County.  Bring your appetite for some authentic #NCBBQ!

#4.  DUPLIN COUNTY EVENTS CENTER IN KENANSVILLE
