America’s favorite music of the 50’s and 60’s … a mix of country, doo-wop, bluegrass, R&B and a touch of funny completes a dinner theater adventure at Duplin. Your toes won’t be able to hold back their tappin’ and will bring you back to the days of rockabilly, doing the twist and be-bopping. Before the show, a delicious 3-course meal will be served and once completed, the show will begin.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Duplin’s Murder Mystery Series is not your typical murder mystery. This full-on ‘comedy whodunit’ dinner theater is full of original scripts, talented actors and will not only challenge your brain, but they will also tickle your funny bone.

Throughout the evening, and over the course of the meal, clues are provided to the guests. Working in groups, each table must try to solve the mystery by interacting with the suspects and detectives to figure out who is guilty of the crime. At the end of the evening, the winning team will receive a special prize.

Bluegrass Bands: The Cleverlys, Tim White & Troublesome Hollow, Abby the Spoon Lady, Kyle Petty, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Band, Cumberland County Line Bluegrass and Alan Bibey & Grasstowne.

Cowan Museum’s Tea & Art Show in the Garden @ Cowan Museum of History and Science

Please join us in our botanical garden for tea and assorted delectables, and see paintings on display by “Charlie the Picasso of Parrots” from the Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary. In addition to enjoying the sights of colorful spring blossoms and artwork, and the soothing sips of tea, attendees may take home a teacup as a memento of a special day spent at the Cowan Museum with a very talented parrot.

Carolina Strawberry Festival @ Downtown Wallace

The Carolina Strawberry Festival is an annual event in downtown Wallace. The night will include a great selection of entertainment, and of course strawberries. The entertainment will feature Rivermist Band and Liquid Pleasure. In addition, the night will have Dakota & Friends Dinosaur Show, a beer & wine garden, midway and more.

The Carolina Strawberry Festival is an annual event in downtown Wallace. The day will include a great selection of food vendors, entertainment, vendors, and of course strawberries. Entertainment includes The Johnson Boys and Band of Oz. In addition, the festival will have a Car Show Antique Farm Equipment, Little Miss Pageant, Dakota & Friends Dinosaur Show, BBQ sandwiches, Beer & Wine Garden and so much more.
